Our dog is Min Pin, Dachshund, Rat Terrier mix. She has a long fragile neck. This is the only harness that will not choke her or put harmful pressure on her neck. We tried 5 different brands and designs. We've used this harness for 6 years and very rarely miss a daily 2 mile walk. *A person Must take the time to figure the adjustment correctly (as you would with Any harness)*. The chest girth/strap must be tighter than the neck strap. I just bought the replacement for the first one which still works even though I broke one of the prongs. Excellent harness!!

I needed a harness for my dog before we went to our first training class. I was afraid the one I ordered would not fit, or would be too flimsy. What a delightful surprise to find not only did the harness fit (great adjustment ability), but it is very well made!! My Doberman wore it to his first class and I felt confident it would not fail.

I bought a Hamilton harness for my Shih Tzu over 10 years ago and eventually used it on my second, smaller Shih Tzu when the first pup outgrew it. I went through many inferior harnesses that kept falling apart, falling off, were flimsy, and a waste of money because I wasn't able to find the exact same design locally in the stores any more. I paid a premium price for it 10 years ago so I was willing to pay again if I could only find the same one again! Finally it dawned on me one day to look up the name ONLINE and that is when I found them again at PetGuys.com! I am beyond thrilled to finally find this harness again and it is EXACTLY the same perfect design as the one I got 10 years ago! Not only that but the price was so much more reasonable at PetGuys that I ended up paying about half as much as I actually paid for the first one 10 years ago locally! They come in a bunch of different colors, they are made to last, sewn at the top so they don't move around where the shouldn't, they are sturdy and made of premium materials that can take cleaning after cleaning in the washing machine, they stay put and won't come off until you take them off, they are fully adjustable so you can tighten and loosen them to fit just right. By the way, that one I got 10 years ago is still usable but after chewing on it for 2 years the material is starting to wear so I ordered two new ones for the dogs. Now both of them have a brand new, perfect Hamilton harness! The BEST!!!

Have 2 Dachshunds weighing on average 16 lbs. Bought the medium sized ones first and they proved to be way to big. The small sized ones were a much better fit and should have bought them the first time. Live and learn. They work well and don't slide around and get legs don't get caught in the overhang of the larger harnesses. Great price.

Bought these collars for the dachshunds. I measured the girth of each dog which were within the size listed on the product information. The lacking information was the size of the neck area. These collars do not adjust down to a smaller size. They only increase. Had that been known, I'd have bought the smaller size and wouldn't have the problems of the dogs legs slipping thru the neck portion of the collars.

I purchased the Hamilton Adjustable Nylon Dog Harness Ex-Small for my puppy. The Harness was an excellent choice for a first time harness for a puppy. Even though the puppy will outgrow the harness, it is wonderful, comfortable, easy to put on and easy for the puppy to get use to and can make the transition to a bigger harness. The harness is well me, can be adjusted with ease and is truly an asset for me and my pet. thank you for such an excellent product and may I say the price is excellent...

I've been using Hamilton harnesses for over 15 years now. I've purchased other harnesses from time to time, but always return to this one. Very secure for dog and for me. All components are well-made and I feel safe on a walk that I can control whatever comes my way while my dogs are in this harness. When dirty, throw in the washing machine. Long lasting. i have always appreciated the quality, toughness, and ease of fitting Hamilton's Adjustable harnesses. When we agreed to foster, and probably adopt a large, enthusiastic two year old Shar-Pei/Retriever mix, i knew that this harness would be indispensable for training. I also wanted the perfect color to highlight the dog's beautiful coat. The harness goes on quickly and secures easily, and was no problem to fit properly. It shows off our new boy's handsome coloration perfectly.

Very sturdy, easy to put on. Purchased the small size for a 7 week old lab puppy. Probably would not fit after 3 months.

I was not able to use this harness because the clasp was so stiff I could barely open it even with gloves on. I also feel it is made of material too heavy for a small dog. My dogs are 12 and 15 pounds and do not require such a sturdy harness. I would not recommend this for a small dog. It is probably ok for a larger dog.

Good quality and nice looking harness. A bit too heavy for the size of dog it fits but at least it doesn't have metal clasps/buckles.

This harness is very well made and will last a lifetime, and it seems to fit well without discomfort; my only caveat is that it is a little heavy for my dog - maybe I should have gone with a size small, but the fit is good with the medium. Maybe Hamilton could manufacture a light-weight harness?

This is a good basic harness, it is easier to put on that the "comfort" harness. I like using a harness especially in the car so I can attach it to a safety seat belt clip. It also is great for general walking. Great price, and looks good too.

This is my second Hamilton Harness. The first one is still in great condition but it's getting so dirty that I need to replace it. Even if you wash it it doesn't get 100% clean. I wanted a different color anyway. I have a 100lb. Rottie and use this to hook her to my golf cart to go walking.
