Our dog is Min Pin, Dachshund, Rat Terrier mix. She has a long fragile neck. This is the only harness that will not choke her or put harmful pressure on her neck. We tried 5 different brands and designs. We've used this harness for 6 years and very rarely miss a daily 2 mile walk. *A person Must take the time to figure the adjustment correctly (as you would with Any harness)*. The chest girth/strap must be tighter than the neck strap. I just bought the replacement for the first one which still works even though I broke one of the prongs. Excellent harness!!

I bought a Hamilton harness for my Shih Tzu over 10 years ago and eventually used it on my second, smaller Shih Tzu when the first pup outgrew it. I went through many inferior harnesses that kept falling apart, falling off, were flimsy, and a waste of money because I wasn't able to find the exact same design locally in the stores any more. I paid a premium price for it 10 years ago so I was willing to pay again if I could only find the same one again! Finally it dawned on me one day to look up the name ONLINE and that is when I found them again at PetGuys.com! I am beyond thrilled to finally find this harness again and it is EXACTLY the same perfect design as the one I got 10 years ago! Not only that but the price was so much more reasonable at PetGuys that I ended up paying about half as much as I actually paid for the first one 10 years ago locally! They come in a bunch of different colors, they are made to last, sewn at the top so they don't move around where the shouldn't, they are sturdy and made of premium materials that can take cleaning after cleaning in the washing machine, they stay put and won't come off until you take them off, they are fully adjustable so you can tighten and loosen them to fit just right. By the way, that one I got 10 years ago is still usable but after chewing on it for 2 years the material is starting to wear so I ordered two new ones for the dogs. Now both of them have a brand new, perfect Hamilton harness! The BEST!!!

Have 2 Dachshunds weighing on average 16 lbs. Bought the medium sized ones first and they proved to be way to big. The small sized ones were a much better fit and should have bought them the first time. Live and learn. They work well and don't slide around and get legs don't get caught in the overhang of the larger harnesses. Great price.

I've owned Hamilton harness for over 15+ years, and while I have tried others, I always come back to Hamilton. They are machine washable, durable, easy to put on and off, a variety of colors and well-priced.

I've tried a lot of different harnesses for my rescue dogs. These fit the best, give me more assurance of security once attached and hold up over time.

Very sturdy, easy to put on. Purchased the small size for a 7 week old lab puppy. Probably would not fit after 3 months.

I was not able to use this harness because the clasp was so stiff I could barely open it even with gloves on. I also feel it is made of material too heavy for a small dog. My dogs are 12 and 15 pounds and do not require such a sturdy harness. I would not recommend this for a small dog. It is probably ok for a larger dog.
