As i am ordering more filters i am noticing i bought my CAT MATE fountain more than a decade ago. I periodically clean it with a dilute bleach soln to keep the pump clean. This is a great cat fountain. Leo the great loved it and now Queen Mary and Prince John have taken to it very well too. I Believe this would be 3 (4 including owner) five star reviews.

The fountain is quiet and very easy to assemble and maintain. My cats seem to appreciate the three different heights of water. I very much wish it were available in ceramic, but meanwhile we're loving the plastic one.

The product was delivered as ordered and shipped expediently! This is the 2nd fountain I have bought and LOVE it! My cats do too! It is quiet, easy to clean and runs continuously with variable speeds. Water stays fresh!

As I hoped for, my cats have taken to this water fountain. They seem to particularly like that they can drink standing up :) And the fountain is easy to take apart and put together. My only complaint is that the pump is noisy, like there might be a loose bearing. We've examined the pump and its placement in the fountain. It is secure so it might be the pump itself. I'll be contacting the manufacturer to see if the pump can be replaced, as other reviewers have noted that their fountain is quiet.

I've had several fountains for my 3 cats, and this one is definitely the best one I've purchased. It is very quiet, very easy to clean (important since I don't have a dishwasher), and with multiple levels it satisfies all 3 cats differing preferences. I'll likely be purchasing another one to swap out with this one when I'm too lazy to do the dishes!

The cat likes it and my wife likes it since the cat no longer wants to get a fresh drink from the kitchen sink. I like it since I can't hear it running. It is also very easy to fill.

16 year old kitty had kidney values on the way up a couple years ago. This fountain is keeping him drinking lots of water. As soon as I filled it & put it on the floor, he knew it was his! :-) I choose to use bottled drinking water to avoid the chlorine, etc. and improve the life of the filters. His kidney values are holding steady. I hesitated to order this since I have owned others & they were a nightmare to keep clean. This is the easiest to clean I have ever used. The filter keeps it flowing nicely & he loves it. Only suggestion I would have would be to design the flow "slide" so that it came into the opposite side of the bowl from the intake so that the bowl water is circulated more efficiently, however, I am still very happy with it!

Have done a lot of online research regarding cat fountains. This one is highly recommended and is easy to clean and use.

I ordered this fountain on Wednesday morning and it was on my doorstep early Friday afternoon. Wow! Thanks for same-day shipping Petguys! It also was the best price I could find on the web. My cat was afraid of the fountain for the first week, but he has taken to it like a duck to water since. It runs so quietly even at full flow, that I had to add rocks to make it gurgle so he would even notice it. This will keep him hydrated over the winter when it's too cold/freezing to have him drink out of the hose outside. I have ready many reviews on many sites for this product, and it has truly earned its 5 stars. Very easy to assemble and clean. Highly recommended.

This is the replacement for a PetMate fountain that I used for my two cats for about seven years before the pump stopped working correctly. I am very pleased with this Cat Mate fountain. It is quiet and runs smoothly. It is much easier to take apart and clean than the PetMate fountain was, and I think the quality of the Cat Mate/Dog Mate water filters is also better than the ones for the PetMate fountain. I want to thank PetGuys.com for taking the time to call me and tell me that shipping would be slightly delayed (due to their supplier). The slight delay was no problem for me, and I really appreciated the call.

This is a great little fountain. It's the perfect size for cats. Mine like to just sit by it and drink contentedly from the top bowl. Also it is very quiet. The last type of fountain we had made noise.

This was a great option for my cats, wish I'd gotten one sooner. I set it up and my one cat who usually is always trying to get at the faucets went over and proceeded to drink and drink and drink from it for about 10 mins. I thought he was going to drown himself! This is my second Cat Mate. The transformer burned out on the first one and I have not been able to find a replacement. Please help in this matter. I really like the cat mate because it is so quiet! I have two other fountains and there is some splashing noise with both of them and I like having one in my bedroom since the cats come and go in there at night.

I got the Cat Mate Fountain for my birds actually, my finches and canaries like to perch on the top portions and drink and bathe in the fresh running water. i filled the deep bottom portion with river rock to prevent drowning. Its quiet as i expected from all the good reviews i read. and i am really impressed, it is more attractive than all the photos and videos i saw. the main IMPORTANT thing i wanted to share with people was that in all the reviews i saw people complained that the filter cartridges were hard to find; i have found that the filter that comes with it is easily pried open (and snaps back together) and can be refilled with items found in the pet aquarium section. you can buy carbon in a jar/box, and you can buy white aquarium filter pads that can be trimmed to fit in the blue plastic case if the pad needs replaced. this is also cheaper than buying the brand name replacement cartridges and is less wasteful than throwing out all that plastic.

my two cats love this! it is silent until it starts running out of water, in which case its slight electric whir reminds me conveniently that it's time to pour in a little more water. So easy, and the one cat who used to jump on the kitchen counter in search of running sink water is now not doing that. Hooray!

I am very pleased with this purchase. Over the past 4 or 5 years, I have bought and used several brands and types of pet water fountains. This fountain is by far the best. I circulates water better. It doesn't leak water onto the floor when the animals drink out of it. It is quiet. The price was reasonable.

I looked at several different brands and makes but decided on this one. I am very pleased with my choice. My cats took to it the very minute I hooked it up. The unit is lightweight and super - super quiet. It does not leak. It is just heavy enough when filled with water to keep my cats from scooting it across the floor and spilling it. It has no definite edges where they can pick it up with their teeth and spill it. The different tier levels makes it easy for them to drink comfortably. Overall I think the product has been well thought out and the price is outstanding. I definitly recommend this product to anyone with cats or small dogs.

I have a 15 year old female cat who was recently diagnosed with early stage cancer and renal failure. She needs a lot of water for her daily medicine. This fountain is easy to clean and you can adjust the power of the motor to your desire. If you pet likes the water to be fast you just turn the motor up. The only con is that the water evaporates so the water level will need to be monitored ever other day.

You guys had the best price. I found this item on Amazon and after reading the reviews decided to get it. I had a Petmate which was a chore to keep clean. This is easy to clean and the cats love it!! It's also very quiet. Will get another when I need one. Also, I was able to use my old Petmate filters in it so I'll be able to use those up. Plus, very fast delivery. Thanks.

This is the only fountain all four of my cats love. It's not noisy and it does not splash. Have spent lots of cash on other brands but this is the best. Filters can be reloaded with aquarium quality charcoal also. The pump comes apart for easy cleaning and will work tirelessly when maintained. There are a few tight spots when cleaning the fountain but an old tooth brush with long bristles can clean those tight areas.

I have tried other cat fountains that were hard to take apart and this one is a breeze. Also, it's so quiet that I have to make sure it's still running.

I ordered one of these Cat Mate Pet Fountains and received one with alot of black marks on it so PetGuys cheerfully replaced it. The second one was hooked up easily and set out for my cat who promptly refused to go near it. Then I realized why. The charcoal filter put some charcoal into the water.
